Lets get Honest…

When I started this blog half a year ago I wasn’t sure what would come out of it…
I had a lot of hopes and dreams with my blog that consisted of:
Making lots of money from ads.
Creating content that millions of people would want to read.
“Making it” from my blog and so on…
Over these last few more recent months these goals have changed and become more realistic (but still big!)
My goal with this blog is to share my life and creations.
I want to create an outlet for fellow artists to learn new techniques and skills.

Something that I really struggle with as an artist is trying to create something great;

which in my mind means something that someone else considers great.
Over these last months I have experimented A LOT with different mediums, proccess’ and techniques.
I have realized that my art is different from other peoples art, but that doesn’t make it better or worse.
It makes it mine.

I have experimented with:
Acrylic Paints
Watercolor
Gouache
Ink
Watercolor Pens
Crayons
Pencils
Wood
and more…

Over this past weekend DaVinci and I stayed at my dad’s in Madison, MN.
I realized a lot over the weekend.

1.) Taking time to reflect and spend time with family and nature is important.
2.) Less is more (Especially when creating with watercolors)
3.) My dad is a great resource for woodworking!
4.) My goals can be bigger !!!
5.) Cutting a book into a letter is a lot more difficult than Pinterest shows 🙂

Here is a project that my dad and I created this weekend!
Enjoy
