Today I made a few more whimsical floral crowns. I have been experimenting with different materials such as silk flowers, felt, wire and grapevine wire. 

I’m absolutely in love with how they turned out and also how they photograph. The elements of the flowers mixed with the wood, ladder and paint chips creates a beautiful contrast. 

I’m planning to do a photo shoot wearing these crowns so stay tuned!

Each day my baby boy grows a little bigger, learns a new trick and is astounded by something he has never seen before. Each day I’m reminded that I am his mom. Once you become a mom I feel like there is something inside you that is switched or turned on. Almost like a light switch that has always been their but is not flipped until the day you become a mother. I believe that day could be the day you give birth, the day you find out your pregnant, the day you adopt a child or even the day you accept someone into your life that you are responsible for. Someone that is vulnerable and needs you to guide them through their day to day life to learn and grow. 

This little boy stole my heart the day he was born. I dreamed about him for months. Imagined what he would look like. What he would sound like and smell like. All of these curiosities have been answered as I watch him thrive everyday. 

This blue eyed blond haired boy holds the key to my heart and he calls me mommy.
