Calligraphy

Lately I have been feeling very creative. Almost to the point where I am overwhelmed with all of my ideas that are flowing through my mind. I have so many ideas that I can’t remember them all by the time I get a paper and pen in my hand to write them down. I recently started a class on SkillShare about Modern Calligraphy. I am in LOVE with this! I have always had good penmanship and I learned calligraphy in the 5th grade but modern calligraphy is a whole new world. Here is some inspiration I have found through Pinterest and my own attempt at modern calligraphy with some neon pink gouache paint!

My Wonderland…

When I created this blog I thought about a place where I could share my thoughts and creations without overwhelming people with randomness. That is where I came up with Random&Wonderland. I am fascinated by Alice in Wonderland. I do not look at the deeper meaning behind the author or who he wrote about but rather the girl Alice in the story. How creative and intriguing the world she falls into is. When I imagine a world I would create it would be like Wonderland mixed with Never Never-land and Ever After all mixed into one.
There are castles that float on clouds such as these. There are creatures that don’t make sense. The world I create does not make sense but it brings peace to the mind. It is calming yet overwhelming all at once. It is a world where I am surrounded by fields of  windflowers  and  peonies. There are bushes filled with paper flowers and fairies running around wearing my floral crowns. There is glitter and paint on everything and books full of beautiful creations. 
This is my world. When I day dream this is the world I create. This is how I choose to imagine it.
