Brush in my hand.

“Most of the time I have all these thoughts bouncin’ around in my head…but with a brush in my hand, the world just gets kinda quiet.” ~ Allie The Notebook
Lately I have been overwhelmed with the feeling that I’m not doing enough. Silly right? In-between being a mom, going to school, working, designing, creating, sleeping how can I feel like that? Well let me tell you I can. I think it is because I try to do everything so I feel like I am doing nothing. This is why I paint. Painting calms me down. When I paint everything seems to get quiet. It seems to stop my world from spinning for moments at a time.
When I get the chance to teach others to paint it’s magical. Especially when others think they can’t. I looooove telling them there are no rules, because really there aren’t. You can paint however you want to paint. Society doesn’t need to accept your work. You are your own critic. We are all artists we just need to learn how to continue to be an artist when we grow up!
I have had some requests about what painting supplies I use so stay tuned for a supplied post soon!
Have a lovely Thursday!
xoxo.
